Kina Grannis - In Your Arms

Zac Rusagara

In order to be memorable it’s important to stand out. Nowadays, most music videos have so much CG in them you don’t even know what is real and what isn’t real anymore. Granted CG and special effects does have their place, what really impresses me, however, is when an artist takes the time to create something beautiful and different. Kina Grannis has done just that by using 288,000 jellybeans for her latest music video!

Here are some interesting stats about the video. It took a team of 30 people 22 months to complete taking up 1,357 hours of their time! Kina had to lie on a sheet of glass in front of the jellybeans constantly being told to move slightly for each frame. At one point they even coated her in Vaseline and created a plaster cast of her body before sticking jellybeans to it.

I thought that I would also include "the making of" if you want to see some behind the secenes shots.

After watching the video, I’m sure that you will agree that the painstaking effort that was put in was well worth it.
