HI Kevin,
Congratulations on making the shortlist, you are making quite habit of it!
To answer your questions on the Vodafone, Paddy Power and Actimel briefs - 100% get what you are saying here and agree that these all need some light thrown on them. Like you mentioned there have been some issues behind the scenes that have made moving the process forward a little difficult. However I will make a commitment to rounding off all the briefs you mentioned above by November at the latest. I would also like to apologise for the delays and time taken on this, we know how frustrating and irritating not knowing whats going on is.
We have also implemented new processes which are going to allow us to not run into a problem where there are such large gaps of time between briefs closing and winners being announced.
Please keep your eyes on the blog and newsletter for the final round off of all the briefs you mentioned and thank you so much for your patience - it is really appreciated and we are working hard on getting this all sorted.
Cheers,
Dan
Exceptionally pleased to have made the shortlist. Thank you Disaronno and Idea Bounty.
:| Wondering why i didn't make the shortlist. I think others who did not make it to the shortlist too will be wondering, and this question can only be answered by showing us the winning ideas, so that it can be proved that the non-shortlisted ideas were not as good as the winning/shortlisted ones.
Best Regards,
Karan
I agree with Karan surely after the winning idea is implemented in the real world, it should be shared with the rest of us, it will also greatly help the winning pereson in terms of his CV?portfolio
I'm very delighted to know that this is real, even though i wasn't shortlisted at all in any of the briefs.
I hope to come up with better ideas next time
meanwhile, i'm exceptionaly hapy with the lucky winners. kudos guys.
Hi Karan & Mergan - thanks for your comments. We would love to share the shortlisted ideas with you at this point unfortunately this is something we can do in order to keep the legal protection of your ideas intact which is something we put a lot of effort into. In other words because the ideas submitted can only be seen by you (the submitter) and the client it means we are more able to protect your ideas and make sure someone else does not nab them and make use of them without your consent. Similarly once a winning idea has been bought it then belongs to the client which means that they have the right to withhold the winning idea - which they usually do for strategic purposes as im sure you can understand.
We do however post all ideas that have been bought and then made it through to production. The best examples are - http:www.ideabounty.com/blog/post/2624/peperami-launch-their-crowdsourced-television-ad and
http:www.ideabounty.com/blog/post/2561/capitec-bank-launches-winning-concept
We are also in the process of upgrading Idea Bounty in order to solve some of the issues you raised above - for example coming soon are a set of tool such as full feedback on every idea you submit direct from client - a leader board which will rank each idea submitted for each brief so you know where you stood in the pack and a public portfolio where you can publish ideas that did not make it as winner but you would like to show off anyway...
hope this all helps - please give me a shout if you have any more questions or suggestions. - daniel@ideabounty.com
Kevin asked a good question and Dan did a great job of giving him a Netflix-like answer. I'm sure there is so legal reasons, but if thats the case say so. Tell us why it has taken so long or what you have specifically changed.
I've never made the list, but then again I've never submitted a brief. I just came here because of a spam email you sent me.
That being said, work on your transparency.
I may have missed it(!) but what happened with the Actimel Life's A Beach brief?
Glad I made it. Thank you!
So glad to be a part of this short list!
Will there be a longlist provided for Disaronno as well? Would be useful for those not mentioned to get some idea of how we stack up against the top tier.
Best
Dave
Congratulations to everyone who made it to the shortlist unfortunately I didn't. I understand that you can't put up the winning idea but if the other people on the shortlist gave consent to show their ideas could you not do this? it would be great to see what ideas got through over mine and why? thanks : )
Hi Dave - yes we will definitely be publishing a full runners up list. We also have a community leader board in the works which will rank all members of the community according to how well you have stacked up against each other - expect this to launch in the next two weeks!
Hope this helps.
Hi Aimee - thanks for your suggestion, this is something that we are looking at doing very soon for all of our briefs. With this brief specifically we unfortunately cant do this until the winner is announced as this is still up in the air. I will however promise to post some in depth feedback (and hopefully some of the shortlisted ideas pending their owners permission) once the brief is closed.
Hope this helps
the tension is killing me, has anyone heard any news from Disaronno yet?
Hi Asa - The winner(s) should be announced anytime now. Just hang on a little bit longer. We are expecting a winner chosen with the next few days! :) Good luck!
The tension is killing me [2]. Hope the result come soon (and hope I can be one of the winners too haha)
Any news about the result?
Well what a surprise! Kevin Baldwin wins again, even his name is a clue looking at photos. This site is an unprofessional scam, with Zac's made up friend winning any prizes. But most of the time there are no prizes. time to quit this fake site!?!
Zac even forgot Kevin BALD & WIN's made up name on the site, when you right click and save on Kev's picture on the winners page - it saves as kenneth? are the other winners members of your family Zac? the mystery deepens...one thing that is no mystery is no prize money leaves your account for these fictitious contests.
I am indeed made up, though only in the sense of 'delighted'.

Haha, Kevin! Thank you for that. I am sure when we start show casing your work more people will come to get to know you as a person - a real person.
Joe - I understand your frustrations, but believe me Kevin and I are not related in anyway.
Furthermore, we do not deiced winners. The client is the one that always decides the winning idea not the creative. They do not know who the idea belongs to until the very end when al the paper work is signed.
Here are some of our past winners for you to peruse:
1. Greg Albritton won the Mobile Marketing brief. $8,000 http:www.ideabounty.com/blog/post/2762/mobile-marketing-brief-winner-interview-greg-albritton
2. Chevrolet winner interview, Konstant won $7,500. http:www.ideabounty.com/blog/post/2720/chevrolet-winners-interview-konstant-van-huyssteen
Finally if you want to chat some more please feel free to drop me a line.

I'm obviously delighted to have made this shortlist, and am happy to hear that the final decision will be announced shortly.
However... I'd very much like to know what's happening with the following briefs:
Vodafone (brief closed 27 March; shortlist announced 6 June)
Paddy Power (brief closed 6 March)
Actimel (brief closed 20 Jan)
Swapit.co.uk (brief closed 12 Sept 2010; shortlist announced 7 Dec 2010)
I appreciate that there may be issues behind the scenes; I think I read somewhere that Paddy Power has a new marketing head, and I can't help wondering whether Actimel is worrying that both Lucozade and American Express are currently running work very close to their 'Say Yes' brief. But any enlightenment would be very welcome.
Best wishes as ever,
Kevin
