YouTube Take Over: The Desperado Experience

One of my favourite things to see is a brand that knows how to use Youtube effectively (you would be suppressed how much bad branded content is out there) and  I love nothing more than an attempt by a brand to really engage with their consumers through what has become know as the YoutTube take over. This week I have a wonderful example of this to share - courtesy of a tequila flavoured beer called Desperado. Introducing The Desperado Experience

Unfortunately we are unable to embed the experience for you (check it out here) but this one real take the user experience to the next level by integrating Facebook Connect with the take over. Personally I have not seen something like this yet ( I may have missed something) but either way the campaign works - you instantly ant to share and pass this little bit of magic on

Overall this is a great example of interactive advertising and the integration of two platforms (YouTube and Facebook) is brilliant. To be honest I was actually waiting for this to happen -  Youtube recently allowed you to comment on videos via Facebook Connect - and it really proves that YouTube still very much owns the video space.
