'Life In A Day" Premieres On YouTube
Daniel Neville
If you are like me and love film as well as having a passion for crowdsourcing this has to be one of the most exciting premiers this year. Incase you don't know, Life In A Day is a historic cinematic experiment that attempted to do just what its name says it will do - document one day, as seen through the eyes of people all around the world. On July 24th people had 24 hours to capture a snapshot of their lives on camera and submit it to a specially created YouTube channel.
An now in keeping with the democratic nature of the project, people all around the world can tune into a live stream of the movie on 28 January at 1AM (GMT) on Youtube for their only chance to see the film before it’s available in select theatres, on demand and permanently online later in 2011. Apparently over 80 000 entries were received, representing 197 countries and 45 languages. Check out the trailer below:
If you are unable to tune in early in the morning, the film will be re-broadcast on the Life In a Day Channel on 28 January at 7:00PM (GMT +2), and subtitled in 25 languages. Awesome - no?
