Samsung Shakedown :: A Moving Campaign!

In an effort to effectively launch the damage resistant B2100, Samsung have come up with the Samsung Shakedown. So how did it work? The caller needed to force any of presented B2100 mobile phones of the edge of the table: 

  • * Call any of the mobiles on the table and watch the movements
  • * If the given mobile phone falls off the edge of the table, the caller wins the B2100
  • * Also, if the phone falls into the water tank (situated in the far right of the screen), callers may call to see if the phone still      works (believe me, it works!)

Samsung Shakedown

Samsung initially spread the word about this particular campaign via their newsletter consisting of 80 000 users. Subsequently, they posted the Samsung Shakedown campaign on a website called Myinspiration (generates roughly 3000 unique users per day). Further to these initiatives, the word was spread via Facebook and Twitter via individual profiles in an effort to generate considerable buzz!

This was a truly awesome campaign for 2 reasons. Firstly, it was highly interactive and engaging resulting an average 30 000 phone calls in each campaign. Secondly, Samsung’s media spend was significantly low! An awesome campaign all round, can’t wait to see the next earth shattering campaign Samsung comes up with next… watch this space!
