An Agency Website Built On Twitter
Daniel Neville
Sometimes you look at something and wonder if it was done just to be unique and cool and not because it works or is practical. Kamachatka, an agency based in Argentina did just that when I stumbled across their new site the other day. The reason - the entire site is based/exists on Twitter. Check out this strange little demo video which attempts to explain why and how:
To try and put it simply - Kamachatka's site was developed using the standard functionality on Twitter. To browse the content you have to explore the different tweets from each section or part of the site. So for example if you would like to see some of the recent work done by the agency check out @kchtk_Cases and if you want to access their contact details check out @kchtk_Contact. The interesting thing is that you don't have to have a Twitter account to view the site but if you do and you are logged in your experience becomes so much richer due to the new Twitter interface. For example check out the case studies section below.
Im sure you will agree this IS a cool idea. The question of its practicality is still to be answered though - im interested to see how this strategy works for Kamachatka. Will they limit their potential audience by confusing possible customers not familiar with Twitter?
