Amazing Lego Mega Constructions
Daniel Neville
Lego, in my humble opinion, is one of the best toys ever invented. It truly is amazing how piles of plastic bricks can be used to build anything your imagination might conceive of. First introduced to the world in 1949 what you can now do with these amazing bits of plastic is utterly amazing.
Below are a few Lego 'mega constructions' - these are models you wont find kits for. Their complexity and massive jaw dropping scale, each built to the finest detail, will make you stare in wonder. I promise.
Occupying 1,506 square feet and made up of 750,000 lego bricks. This massive construction took more than 2,500 hours to build.
Aircraft carrier lego model in minifig size by Harry S. Truman.
A view from the balcony looking toward the chancel. There’s seating for an 80-member choir under the mosaics. The roof over the chancel and mosaic alcoves is glass.
The LEGO Sport City display was built by the Hong Kong LEGO Users Group (HKLUG) to help promote the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing.
A replica of Volvo’s award-winning SUV, the Volvo XC90, was constructed of LEGO’s famous modeling bricks.
A 6-foot-tall statue of Jesus that had built out of 30,000 Lego blocks at a church in Vasteras, Sweden.

Legos are undeniably awesome. The artists behind these amazing creations and sculptures never let the Legos go. They kept building and in the process created the kinds of awesome things kids could only dream of.

So thank you great Lego artists. We, and our five year-old selves, are very impressed.
