Where Good Ideas Come From

So where do good Ideas come from? Apart from the obvious answers many of the really good Ideas we see popping up around the world come about as a result of many different skills and areas of creativity converging together to form something new and fresh. Steven Johnson - the author of "Everything Bad Is Good for You" which is one of my favorite 'business' books - is no stranger to this concept. Infact he has just about to release a new book called "Where Good Ideas Come From" which is an "examination of the sources of creativity in all of us" and takes a sweeping look at innovation spanning nearly the whole of human history. Basically he try to answer the great big burning question: What sparks the flash of brilliance? How does groundbreaking innovation happen? Now how awesome is that? Im not kidding when I say I watched those 4:07 seconds three times this morning - it also seems that over 100K other people seem to think its just as cool too. I seriously urge you to take the time to read some of Steven Johnson's books - they will suck you and if they don't make you excited to create, think and pontificate then there is something wrong.
