TheBetacup.com - Crowdsourcing A Better Coffee Cup II
Daniel Neville
A couple of months ago I stuck up a post about The Betacup Project . The aim of the project - to come up with a more sustainable (recyclable) coffee cup design in order to combat the 58 billion paper coffee cups are thrown away, unrecycled, each year. You can check out the full details of the competition here.
The project has now come to an end and I though I would share the winning cup design as well as some of the runners up. According the the project organizers they were "absolutely floored by both the process and the winning submissions" In total there were 430 designs submitted and each design was updated an average of three times each in response to more than 13,000 comments made about them. So without further ado here is the winning design called the "Karma Cup"
There were a couple of special mention and runners up - you can view them all here - below are some of our favorites.
So what do you think of the winning design? Would you buy into the "Karma Cup' idea?
