Stop Motion Wednesday - "Light Warfare"
Daniel Neville
This weeks stop motion post is some good light fun - and yes there is a pun in there. Created by Freddie Wong 'Light Warfare' is a fusion of stop motion animation and a creative technique called light painting. The ideas is that if you open the shutter, you can draw lines by moving a light (candle, flashlight etc) around in front of the lens. Just hold the shutter open, get in front, and try drawing something in the air. Freddie Wongs masterpiece is a very good example of what you can do with light painting, I love the contrast between the subject matter - warfare - and the medium it was executed in. If you are interested in exactly how they did it don't miss the being the scenes video too!
