Embrace Life - Always Wear Your Seat Belt
Daniel Neville
Over the last couple of months we have been seeing some very powerful public service announcements (PSA's) coming out of the UK. Personally I have always thought that past PSA's could be more affective by not mincing their words and using arty metaphors - Just tell it like it is I say, which is exactly what this PSA about texting and driving did.
Cant get any more straight down the line that that hey? However yesterday I came across another PSA that was equally powerful and the funny thing is it does use a somewhat arty metaphor. This time the messages is about wearing your seat belt - something that shockingly lots of people still do not do! The PSA not only brings this message across effectively but it has been beautifully shot and the whole idea of 'embracing life' by wearing a seat belt comes through so powerfully you just cant ignore it. Infact this is probably one of my favorite bits of television advertising this year.
Let us know what you think!

@Michaela,
Glad you found them as impressive as I did - interesting how both are effective but for different reasons. The first is so graphic and more realistic that one would want to admit and the other just strikes really deep emotionally.
I would second your call for shorts like this to be shown at schools!

Woah... If only they made more adverts with a serious message like these! Two really impressive ads - I hope they show the "texting whilst driving" campaign in schools.
