Tic Tac - Shake Some Noise For The England Boys
Daniel Neville
In just under two months arguably one of the worlds biggest sporting events gets under way in South Africa when the 2010 Soccer World Cup kicks off. It should be no surprise that there are a multitude of brands who launching campaigns which are intended to leverage the massive coverage and appeal the tournament generates. On of the coolest of these campaigns that has popped up so far is from Tic Tac.
The campaign called 'Shake Some Noise' basically encourages consumers to come up with imaginative way to use a limited edition pack of Tic Tac's in the creation or rendition of a favourite football supporters jingle. Obviously we really appreciated the crowdsourcing element to this campaign and I especially love how prizes will be handed out both according to the votes by the crowd as well as by a pre selected judging panel. Check out the promotional video for the campaign below:
Consumers are encouraged to upload and vote for other participants entries through shakesomenoise.co.uk. The over all winner will be given the opportunity to record their winning jingle with the England Supporters Band. Other prizes include Sony flat screen TV's and Lazyboy armchairs which will be awarded just before each of England's three group stage matches. Over all a solid campaign idea and a great way to help capture and become a part of English football supporters memories of the tournament.
