Stop Motion Wednesday: Lego Cl!ck
Mari Basson
So, we found a stop motion containing ideas, Lego and a bearded man (well okay, a half bearded man) – all of our favourite things combined! An epic find, to say the least. This stop motion for Lego aims to explore a few tricky questions: Where do big ideas come from? When does the Eureka-moment happen? And what inspires you?
Nice one, Lego.
As a kid I built epic Lego creatures, creatures beyond dinosaurs and aliens. I’ve created out-of-this-world structures, some to-dream-for houses and unimaginable planes and cars. Yet, I don’t know quite where these ideas came from; or what exactly inspired them. I think Lego may perhaps be one of the most idea inspiring toys on the market. Somehow with Lego, great ideas just seem to happen.
In celebration of Idea inspiration, that has become synonymous with the legendary toy, Lego launched LEGO Cl!CK: “A little place on the Internet devoted to creativity, innovation, and the moment when ideas just CL!CK.” With this they’ve set up a Facebook fan page, Twitter profile and they’re inviting Ideas People to share what makes them click by tagging tweets and Flickr images.
There’s also a sweet iPhone app – which filters users' photos into Lego-like pixels. But, let me not get carried away - it is after all Stop Motion Wednesday in Idea Bounty Land, so I’m handing it over to this brilliant Stop Motion video. Enjoy!
