Stop Motion Wednesday: CARDBOARD by Sjors Vervoort

I often dread Stop Motion Wednesday posts, because we’ve featured so many amazing animations that I fear we may run out. Yet, it seems were not out of luck yet and there’s still an abundance of awe-inspiring videos waiting to be discovered. Like this epic cardboard stop motion I found by a mighty talented illustrator called Sjors Vervoort :

CARDBOARD is a highly imaginative stop motion piece that reminds of the legendary Blu whose work we’ve featured here before. Sjors is a recently graduated student from AKV St Joost, Netherlands. The video is the final result of 1 200 photographs shot by a Canon Powershot G9 over 3 months in and around Eindhoven and Tilbrug using 800 cardboard images. His awesome characters featured are also available on t-shirts at MySoti, an online store which is a must for lovers of creative stuff, if I may add.
