The One Shot Film Festival: Part II The Short List

A while back we did an awesome interview with Clive Pickering, André Moreira and Júlio Alves all who are founders of the One Shot Film Festival.

Basically the One Shot Film Festival aims to celebrate single take commercials... and why you may ask? Well its got a bit to do with this statement "Times are tough, or so we’re constantly told. Marketing and Media budgets have dwindled. Big budget ads are a thing of the past – but that doesn’t mean film advertising is dead." Hey its a good idea, dont have the budget? So as you might have guessed entries are now closed - and with 83 entries in total sourced only through the internet, I have to say its impressive. What is also impressive is that the festival has attracted attention from all over the world..from the US to Pakistan apparently! You can see them all here.

On the 20th November the short list for the awards was announced - a total of 10 - Check them all out here. The finalists videos come from the UK, Portugal and Spain and its now up to the public at the CINEMAD film festival to vote for the winner who will get a Unicorn which looks like this:

Well ok its a work in progress but man - which festival do you know gives an award like that? There is a very cool post here on the making of the award if you are interested.

Personally I cant wait to see who comes out on top. But till then here is my pick for the Gold Unicorn.
