The Peperami Brief - Who Walks Away With The Bounty?
Daniel Neville
As some of you know things have been very busy over here at Idea Bounty over the last few weeks. We launched an awesome new brief from the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation - $3000 up for grabs! - which launched in conjunction with the Global Entrepreneurship Week. Check out the full brief here. At the same time we have also been getting ready to let you all know who the winner of the Peperami brief is.
But as you may have guessed I have some very frustrating; and some would say quite depressing news to deliver. We unfortunately won't be able to make the Peperami winners announcement until next week. I know this must be one of the single most irritating bits of news to receive on a Friday... I, for one, kind of feel like this:
The delay is due to getting all of the legal necessities in place - things are taking a bit longer due to a first in Idea Bounty's History - but more about that when we make the announcement, which I am hoping will be done on Tuesday next week.
I really am sorry about this delay - I know what it must feel like to have to go through another weekend without knowing who walked away with the $10000. I will reveal however that we are planning a little something something for all the creatives who got an Idea into the Top 100 - so there will definitely be more than just the winner to congratulate next week!
If this is really pissing you off - we hope you still love us, but please feel free to send hate mail, insults and general frustration directly to my inbox. Hey sometimes you just gotta let it out...
In an effort to add some cheer to this depressing post I thought I would quickly share this amazingly cheesy song called "I've got nothing" by the ChartJackers.
The aim of the song is very clear - personally I think this is an awesome idea - and usually I'm very picky about music.. Cheesy as this song is though, I actually really like the harmonies in it. Apparently the lyrics to the song are made up of YouTube comments, and the melody was picked from suggestions made by the YouTube community. A truly crowdsourced fundrasing project - I love it!
All of the money from the song goes directly to Children In Need and you can buy a copy for yourself here. You can also get involved with the project through the ChatJackers Youtube Channel or on their Facebook group.

very nerve racking stuff.
Will (or has) the winner or those making the shortlist already been notified?...or will the winner find out along with everyone else on Tue via the website...
still waiting on my phone to ring and the big guns at IdeaBounty to be on the other side...you know it makes sense
I have the same doubt about the shortlist. Could you tell us about it please? Thanks.
hello people from ideabounty! I think everybody has the same doubt that Bilal, answer us pls!!!
Hi Bailal, Joseph an Paul
Thanks for your comments - really appreciate them.
Yes the winner does know who he is - this has to be done for legal reasons. There is a shot list of the creatives who contributed the top 100 ideas but we are waiting to release until we have sorted out how we will be rewarding them. Expect this short list soon!
At the same time we accept your frustrations and are making plans to change the way we run things a bit at Idea Bounty soon. In the future the winner will be announced in less than a month of a briefs close and a short list will also be named ahead of the winning announcement.
I really do apologise for the delay and angst - we are learning and promise to improve the service.
Thanks again for your comments and support - say tuned for news about the winner tomorrow.

Frustrating maybe, but also sounds quite exciting! I'm intrigued.
