Stop Motion Wednesday: Sorry I'm Late
Daniel Neville
This awesome bit of stop motion passed across my desk this morning and I knew it had to be todays post. "Sorry Im Late" is a short film by Tomas Mankovsky (Blink). The story is basically about a boy who is late getting home after missing the bus. He proceeds to make this crazy journey to get home traveling through and interacting with an awesome set, which makes for one insane visual expereince. Scoring over 42 000 views on youtube the film even has its own showcase site!
My favorite bit by far has to be the part (1:05) where the character falls from the sky into water... the use of perspective to get these shots to look cool is brilliant. Again the amount of planning that goes into something like this far out weighs the actual shooting time. There is an awesome making of here which just shows how much thought and planning went into this, never mind the massive crew! Enjoy!
