Melissa Attree was kind enough to pass on this link, about a novel that is being crowdsourced.
It's certainly an interesting concept - James Patterson (a well known crime author) and his publishers held a competition for 27 writers to each write a 750 word chapter. I imagine it's a great publicity stunt, and maybe even a good way to get your name out as a new author, but as Mellissa pointed out, it would need some pretty consistent editing to hold together. Unless "to be disjointed is the point". Can't wait to read it. :)
