If you're at all curious about Web Design it's really worth checking out this article on Smashing Magazine. They've collected a range of examples of design trends in 2009, listing inspirational designs ranging from icons to illustrations to layouts. I've extracted a few cool examples below. They've also published some beautiful iPhone wallpapers - another visual feast if you're that way inclined.
